I need to confess, few months ago, when I got the information regarding to Certs’ reinvention.
I was afraid of the results, but today…
checking out the new Certification levels, requirements, Cloud focus…I can say, I liked it.
Yeah…I liked it, because something should change.
The old MCTS was too easy to get it, only one exam, and doesn’t matter each one.
Also, Cloud focus is very important these days.
Databases migration to Cloud?!
off course, there are databases that will not use Cloud, for several reasons…but a large number of databases and companies will take advantage of Cloud environment.
No more Database Administration track?!
DBAs will need to know about database administration and development, this is very important to really become a DBA.
I’ve heard people complaining about the reinvention, and I understand their point of views, but again…something should change.
I would like to make a question.
If you work only with Database Administration tasks, called Physical DBAs.
Did you understand that there is no SQL Server 2012 certification for you?
So, be prepared and take a step forward in your career.
